Oil Leak from "left bank cylinder head"
Well, finally took the car into the dealer to fix the tranny/brake line/engine oil leaks. Got everything taken care of except the engine oil leak since I was told it would require a teardown. There diagnosis was as follows:
Oil leak is coming from, back left cylinder bank. They steam cleaned all under to see where the tracer die leaked out. It is a leak, not huge, but a substancial ounce a day or so.
Engine Mods:
-FMS/Meaux Stage 1.5 heads.
-Comp Cams 224/224 112 cam.
-Shortblock: LS1 block bored/honed .010" to pistons, Ross pistons w/ rings
-Stock rods w/ Katech bolts, FMS race prep stock crank
-FMS ported oil pump, SLP timing chain, ARP main studs
-Federal Mogul coated bearings, ARP head studs.
-Cometic head gaskets.
-All of these parts have about 14K miles on them.
What is the problem? How do I solve it? And what is the most cost effective way to go about it?
Thanks
Sean

You may have to get in there yourself with a mirror and see EXACTLY where the leak is coming from. That's not a super informative leak-location-diagnosis. Could be valve cover, could be lifter valley cover, oil sending unit, head gasket....get us a little more info.
