Last night we loaded up and went down to MIR for alittle drag racing and testing/tuning. The weather was hot but was dry and the pressure was decent. I believe DA was close to 1500'. First pass off the trailer was all motor with a new tuneup. Here's the first pass.....

I was pretty happy with the pass but when we pulled back into the pits I noticed something wrong with the shifter. 1st, 3rd and 5th were all soft, kinda like there was no positive stop or engagement to them. Turns out I broke the shifter mounts. The shifter mounts to the aluminum box which attaches it to the torque tube. The mounts on the aluminum box were cracked in half. I wonder if I can tig weld the ears back on.....

ouch! :bang: That sounds like fun to fix, either way, congrats on the times for the DA. The mph indicates that more is definately attainable, good luck getting her back out again soon!

DA was 1732', I am going to try and tig weld the brackets back on. Hopefully that will fix the problem and I can be racing again next week.
