Default Patriot 5.3 truck heads exhaust leak?

The "Patriot" stamp on the head is creating an exhaust leak. I did a search and saw where JB Weld should fix this but just curious if anyone else had this problem and if you did use JB Weld to seal this up, and how well this worked? We are fixing to bolt up a ProCharger and the leak will only get worse. These heads have been on the car for awhile and you can obviously see where they leaked. We'll call Patriot about them but I was just curious what those with similar problem have done effectively. Thanks in advance.

Others have told me this caused a leak with them.We no longer put the logo on the side of the heads.

When I got my heads I noticed that and it kinda puzzled me as to why Patriot would locate their logo there. So far mine is not leaking. Knock on Wood!

I had one set leak, but I had a set of non-metallic gaskets (Pacesetter) left over from a header swap, and I installed them and sofar no leaks.

Seems reasonable. Plop down $1000+ for new heads, and before you install them, JB Weld the outside of them so you don't have an exhaust leak.

The heads don't have these logos anymore. There wasn't very many Patriot heads shipped with the logo on the side of the head.

The leak is an exhaust gasket leak, not a exhaust valve leaking.
