Trying to compare my times to what stock ls1's usually run. What did you guys run with a rather stockish car in the 1/8th??

When my car had just a flowmaster muffler and a K&N filter I ran 8.40s. Back then it would hook, with my current mods (see sig) I don't run as much faster as you would think because I can't get it to hook. Planning on some sticky tires this week though. Then, hopefully high 7's or near flat 8's.

I ran a 8.7@82mph, 60ft. was 2.079 on street tires with me and 2 other people in the car. That was my best run of the night. I only got one run by myself and screwed the launch and basically spun the 1st 60ft.

Mods are in my sig in the 1st post. I'm thinkin with me by myself and a better launch i could see an 8.4 possibly. Then get some relocation brackets to correct the angle of the LCA's and drag radials i should see 8.1-8.2s hopefully. Sounds about right.

my car, still bone stock (down to the paper filter)..
8.6@85.25

I dont think 8.5 or 8.4 is out of the question on a stock car.

I have never seen a track that lets you take riders along with you!

San Angelo dragstrip will let you take a passenger along with you. i've never seen 2 passengers ride though but im sure they would let you.

with a 2.18 60' I ran a 9.092 @ 80.29 bone stock.

I ran a 8.56 at 84.87 with lid and flowmaster only so I do believe 8.4 is possible. Also, there are tracks that allow you to take passengers like Rockingham dragway in NC.

I have the slips, it is the truth. Maybe where you live the altitude is a factor. Thanks to the guys that know it can and has been done.

I have an 2002 A4 Z w/ 2.73's, I ran an 8.46 @ 86.3mph w/ a 2.02 60 ft., W/ only an air lid and a 3" single chamber flowmaster..no air filter on street tires. Very good day @ the track, track was sticky and air was cool, about 65 degrees that day.

At Cordova Dragway (Cordova IL) we have hangover day on Jan 1st. They allowed me to take a passenger down. Unfortunately the extra 170lbs and a lovely 2.6 ft got me a 14.3 @ 103mph Its definately odd to have someone with you though.
