I have an A.R.E, it pushes about 10-15 more psi than stock.

I used the Katech oil pump, same pressure as stock, cleaned up,deburred and blueprinted.

There was a discussion a while back about not needing more oil pressure. You are fine with the stock oil pressure.

Another vote for the ARE here. Though I've heard more than one person say that ported oil pumps aren't necessary on stock-cubed motors... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> I've heard on more than one occassion they tend to increase oil consumption. Both engines I've installed the ARE pump on have seen a 15-psi increase in pressure.

i just bought an SLP ...@$160.

...all these pumps are originally made by the General. ..some pump gears are shimmed to produce higher pressures...

....GM claims high pressure is not needed with synthetic oils, however....by the way, according to an informed source, there is only one manufacturor of synthetic oil (Mobil) ...others that claim to be synthetic are dino-based...they went to court to allow them to call their dino-based products synthetic ...unfortunatly, they won so we lost...consequently, buy only Mobil...
