I wasn't very impressed last night for my first time at the track.

Does your reaction time effect your et????

got 2 runs in

1st run
R/T 1.047
60' 1.714
330 5.048
1/8 7.893
mph 85.86
1000 10.366
1/4 12.43
mph 109.71

2nd run
R/T .785
60' 1.682
330 4.986
1/8 7.810
mph 86.51
1000 10.262
1/4 12.312<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< that sucks!
mph 110.45

I wonder if it being hot and humid effected the times?
PULLED the front wheels though!!!

If that is your first time at the track---then don't be disappointed but thankful. Very few people have run those fast times first time out. It takes time to practice and sort things out with your car and setup. The reaction time has no effect on ET. The reaction time is the amount of time it takes for you react to the go light--after your passes a beam or something--your time starts being determined at that point. You have to find the sweet spot on takeoff which is combination of Hal settings, proper burnout, RPM launch on 3200 vig. tire pressure, maybe suspension treaking, etc. I hope this helps and gets you started for a better ET. Get you 60' time down as low as possible to improve your ET. Cheers--

you need to get on a dyno and a'tap and find out where your hp is.. your trap speed is low considering your 60' and well the power adder

those times are appropriate for a n/a car with the same 60' honestly. (my opinion)

I agree...your mph was way off what I would expect I'd think you should get 115+ easy

Sounds like your shift points are too low, or you have a problem.

Your 1/8th and 1/4 mph is indicative of shifting at like 5700 or something.

I would be looking for 120mph with the mods you have.

so should I make it shift later? I have a hypertech to adjust it...

I didn't bounce the limiter... all stock shift points...

HELP!

Assuming stock heads, and stock valvesprings, I would go no higher than 6200 unless you do valvesprings.

I would bump up the shift points for sure. Centrifrugal blower like that is somewhat rpm dependent.

IMO I would go 6000 at least for both shifts, but I think I would try 6100/6100.

If I remember right the hypertech ppg will let me go +1 to like +4 on the shifts, any idea what to go?

I am thinking:

1-2 shift +1 (or stock since on the street I bounce the limiter when my tires aren't heated good)

2-3 shift +3

Terry99TA , above are various acceleration rates for some of your passes , they might be of interest to you

i know a lot of you guys use chassis dynos , but if you want to know what your engine would make
for HP/Torque on a SuperFlow SF-901 dyno ,
these acceleration rates can be calculated to reflect SF-901 dyno results
