Default messed up my converter(pic's), fix it or try a vig?

Both Yank and Precision are closed for the week , maybe someone could get Mike to take a peek at this so i could get things rolling. i am kind of stuck right now.

First question. Is this damage definately caused by a tranny problem? or could it have been some converter problem? The tranny is at FLP right now and Chuck is making sure it is all right inside.

my set up is going to be an all out 409, lots of boost and some nitrous, 900+rwhp i hope and 4700lbs. the yank i have is a proyank3400E. i have heard some concern about the single disk in the yank not being good enugh for what i want to do, any thoughts on that?

i here customer service at Precision is prety good. and the multi disk set up seems like a good deal to me but i really dont know much about it.

here are the pic's

IMO, The single disk PYE was not designed for 900+ RWHP. I know Mike is the process of making new multi-disk versions for very large shots and for trucks. Unfortunately, Yank is closed as Mike is relocating his facilities and taking a couple days off.

I think at that level any shop-in-the-know is going to be suggesting a non-lockup converter.
I'm still in the market for a converter for my truck (lame in comparrison) that needs to be able to hold 650ft/lbs. I'm kind of at a loss for who builds the strongest 4L80-E converters myself...

First place fluid goes from the converter circuit is the cooler. The lines and coolers could have trash in them. In fact, if the clutch was coming apart in the first place the debris could have clogged the lines and caused it to overheat. The trans should be checked out because the return fluid is the lubricant for the center support and both rear planetaries. The bushing in the center support is aluminum and liquifies if overheated. You'd see signs of it in the pan. Got pics of the pan?
