new to tuning....
alright to sum it up, i have a custom C5R race long block being built to support 1000+HP using a twin turbo FI system. my question is, do you have to retune your motor if i were to decrease my boost level (for normal street driving) or to increase it (for normal racing)? if i need to retune, is there a way to have 2 seperate programs, lets say a "race file" and a "street file"? can you upload these simply? i like HP tuners and i was wondering if they are capable of this? or is any tuner capable of this?

HPTuners will stuff in a new tune in under 30 secs
(less than it takes Windows to start up, on my
machines). If your max boosted operation remains
within sane sensor ranges you might get by with a
single tune if it covered the range. But I expect
1000HP is "forget the MAF, 2-bar MAP sensor,
crazy plumbing".
I'd encourage you to get into it in more detail with
the HPTuners guys; some of them are into the
speed-density tuning stuff and can maybe tell you
if the standard product will work, or if you would
need the version that lets you get into the OS'
guts as well - potentially letting you rework max
sensor scales, extend pressure maps, that kind
of thing (at much more effort and some added
expense).
