Pretty easy. just put the rear seats down and make sure you lay down some platic or something so you don't stain your carpet. get someone to help you and put it in thru the hatch.

Default 8.8 RearEnd

Go here for info on 8.8 rearends.

Craig in Dallas builds these 8.8 hybrid rear ends. His shop www.extremechassis.com has pics and all the price info u'll need.

Do a search also. There is a lengthy thread on this rearend. The first units built had some issues, but have since been fixed.

Everyone give high marks to Moser rearends, but fail to mention the design flaw allowing the torque arm to break loose because the bolts come loose.

When I replace my stock rearend, I will get an 8.8 or a Strange instead of a Moser, even though Moser's seem to be the most popular, new or used.

A word of warning though if you descide to get an Extreme chassis 8.8 be ready to wait atleast a couple of months and not have your phone calls returned while you wait. After being told your rear end would only take a couple of weeks to build.
