Default Help my idle

Ok I'm not sure I put this in the right forum but here goes.
My car idles pretty well when I first crank it on cold starts. When the car is hot and I crank it it takes forever for the car to find an idle and even after it gets an idle like after a burnout if I don't help it find an idle it will die right there.
This is really frustrating and I want it fixed. Does the hole in my TB need to be bigger or what.

I believe this is a common problem after a cam install. Do a search in the PCM tuning section. You will need to do some changes to your PCM idle tables with LS1edit. I believe what you do is copy the some of the values from the cold start tables and put them in the hot idle areas. You also probably need to bump up your idle speed a little in edit. Some say to drill out the TB blade until the IACs come down to the 30s, but others say this is not necessary since the IAC can go up to 128 anyway.

I think my idle is set at 920 now. I will have to check some more whenI get my LS1 edit back. It's just really frustrating if you know what I mean.

Try to drill your throttle hole one size at a time. Only if it's a m6. Because your idle will hold a little high (1400) idle for about 10 seconds then idle down. Better than when the engine dies. Andy
