widest tire for 15x8 prostar????

widest tire for 15x8 prostar???? i have heard that the widest you can go is a 275. is that true?? what do some of you use with these wheels???

I have a 295/50/15 BFG Radials on my 15x8 Draglites. BFG says that the their 295's will fit a 8-10inch rim. I think they fit great. If needed I could get some pics sometime this week...
