locktite question.... on rockers...

Default locktite question.... on rockers...

how long does locktite need to set up before you can start driving....
changed springs....
had a rocker work its way loose....
gonna pull them all and locktite them.....
how long does it need to sit.

I wouldn't locktite them, I would just torque them...it's 14lbs if i can remember correctly...and if you don't have a torque wrench, don't work on the engine till ya do

22ft-lbs ...and I was told that you should locktite them to keep them from backing out...like mine did....

that's right, 22-lbs...well, if it said you can use locktite, and yours keep loosening up, then use that tube up

I always do mine to 25 ft/lbs.. That extra little bit helps on keeping them tight.

Btw... most cheap torque wrenches are off +/- 1 or more ft/lbs at that level.
