Default Current valve spring of choice?

Whats the current valve spring of choice?

I'm running GTP Stage 2X heads, and a cam that is a tad over .600 lift.

It's time to replace my cam with a better & bigger one.. springs need to go as well.

TIA

2 for Patriot..
1 for VHP..
1 for Isky..

Like I said.. I'm over 600.. do all of the above handle that ammount of lift? Any of them require anything special over what I already have?

I've already got retainers, etc.. I hope that I can just replace the springs, and not have to spend extra on stuff I already own.. unless I HAVE to.

I believe my 918's are due for a swap. I'm hoping to go with 921's but there a lil' spendy... I'm sure and hope there well worth it though.

I believe the patriots will require special retainers because they come with special (super 7) locks. I don't have them so i don't know how your retainers and locks will fit. Someone else chime in now to make up for my ignorance...

They do, but the kit comes w/ what you need and the price is favorable. Reusing old locks is bad practice anyway.

I have the Crane dual valve springs in stock, along with tit. retainers, and spring seats. They are good to about .650 lift and would work great for your aplication. Let me know if you need some!!

I run the 918's all day everyday with cams of a .615" and .050" before coil bind with no reservations. As far as harmonics and dynamics...nothing else compares.

Another one for the PP "Gold"

I'm having them as an upgrade for my AFR's.

Another vote for the Patriot golds, the 921s are great too but as some said are a bit pricey. Just depends on what your looking to spend, either one will do fine.

Which will work in a LT4 396 stroker? The cam is a custom ground Comp.
Int. Exh.
lift .540 .562

duration at. .576 .600
.242 .248
lobe sep. 112
Comp. hydrolic roller lifters and cam
pro mag rockers 1.5 and 1.6
202 valves
I need the springs to be good up to 6800 rpm w/o going to solid roller lifters.
Thanks,
Andy

Default springs

We use the Ferrea dual sport compact spring, never had a failure. 175 lbs on the seat, 450 open. The comp 918 springs are one of the best out there as far as stability and control. Seen a lot of testing on the spintron.
