Default weird tapping ticking noise...

Just recently I notice my car making a strange tapping/ticking noise. It sounds like it is on the driver side. I only hear it when I am in gear and pulling mid throttle and higher. I can also hear when I let off from a romp of the throttle.
I don't hear it when it is in neutral or park.

I have TTS headers, could it possibly be a leaky collector gasket? I noticed it has a small leak when I was changing the oil last night. It has Earls dead soft aluminum gaskets and i have new ones to go in.

I am afraid it may be a bent pushrod, bad valve spring or lifter.

I am going to take the valve cover off and inspect. However the car is a 98 and the valve covers are a PITA to remove (perimeter style) and the cam is going in within the next few weeks. This is my daily driver for now btw.

Mine hasn't done it in a while, but when it did it was driver's side. I would describe it as a mechanical fluttering.

Remove the AIR system and have the code deleted.. OR make a block off plate and drill a hole in the middle of it. Place the block off plate on the header and bolt the AIR line on top of it. If you are coming to the River Road Cruise, I'll show ya.

I will go make some drilled plates now. I didn't put them in with the TTS headers, but I did on the MAC's. How big should the hole be? I have some flat sheetmetal in the garage so I will get cutting

There is an install guide somewhere on the web. I don't remember the size of the hole.
