Default shortblock, crank set, or heads/cam?

I am looking to do a 383 stroker buildup, and am not quite sure of how to go about in doing it. Is it better to just get a 383 shortblock or buy something like the eagle crank kit? I am willing to dump this entire project and just go with a heads/cam setup if it is that much cheaper and easier and makes almost as much power. I only have 20k miles on my car.
Before going about in doing this, I will have suspension mods, stall conv., and maybe a rear-end. Thnx.

Go H/C way. Enjoy that with full bolt ons for awhile. Once that is killed, move up to a stroker for rebuilt.

h/c is definately cheaper by alot. it all depends on your goals and application for the car. there is no replacement for displacement
