Lost Tach Readout Help! The Service Manager is "Pulling his hair out trying solve this!."
I took the SS to the dealership for warranty work on a "Knock Sensor - Low Input" SES on Wednesday.
Yesterday, they called and told me the Knock Sensor had been replaced, but now the Camshaft Position Sensor was malfunctioning.
Today, they called me and told me the Camshaft Position Sensor had been replaced, but now the Tachometer was malfunctioning. They explained that the motor runs fine mechanically, could not get a tachometer readout, but they could "make the tach sweep" via the OBDII port.
Then they wanted to know what "electronic" mod's I've done, and told them about the MFS, O2 sims, and the Predator. I explained to them that I reset the tune to "stock" before taking it in to them and that the tach has never had any problems.
