Default Torq Thurs II's vs. Cragar SS

im looking into TTII's and Cragar SS's...both classic looking...want it to be pretty fat out back so i can get a nice meaty tire with the very list fitment issues...the plus to cragar is that they have them on some ZL1's and i love ZL1's....and they are just classic....and come in chrome...not sure of wheel size and fitment however

now TTII's have the 11 inhc wide out back...so it gets a REAL NICE MEATY TIRE VERY VERY great amount of tire to hold and tear up pavemet....also very common...not in my area....the only thing i worry about is the rear sticking out and looking bad which i highly doubt it will but my car will be stock height till i do the transmission Swap to a 6 speed...what you think'

picks for comparison would be great and size information will be great as well Thank you

I personally like the TT2's the best out of those choices. I owned a set and loved the way they looked but got rid of them because I wanted at least 18's (They were 17) and the fact that they are all too common. 18s in TT2's look really nice on firebirds, seen one around this area before.

a98ws6 <--has 18" TT2's I think. They might be 17".

They make the TT2's in chrome now. I wish I got the chrome instead of the polished. I'm running 18" TT2's and I love them. Click my link for pics.

I like the TT's better, but why get something everyone else has too. I prefer going the individualist route. Just my 2¢.

well both are nice quite nice....theres a white camaro out here with TT2's...and then all the classic cars wiht Cragar...thats why i like Cragar cuz they are classic trusted and chrome...i havent seen TT2's in chrome but they are QUITE NICE...whihc has a nicer fitment....that deep dish look is nice ya kno....set in center piece....but as long as it ALL looks good....my only fear with the TT2's is that itll seem 2 much like id want a Blackbird...dont get me rong id totally own one...but its a special bird i coulda got it if i had the money at that time....and this was before i realized i wanted a 6 speed...butr hey waht the hell

this is exactly what i am trying to decide on, TT or cragars, what pisses me off is i see all these internet/magazine ads for 7-900 wheel+tire combos only to call and be told my car , a 2001 Z28, has "weird" sizing and no one has any rims or tire combos other then the ones listed or OEM knock offs. uggh,

Talk to Todd@discounttire hes got TTII's i believe also a set of something similar to TTII's with the corvette emblem...they are 17x10 or 17x10.5 insteada 11....the TTII's are like made for out cars....its on american racing's website....98-02 LS1 Firebird/camaro or something of that sort and then gives you the wheels that will go for it...i dont kno where to get Cragars....all i kno is i want one or the other...not sure what one tho

dont kno if there combo of wheel and tires but it can probably be had at a similar price even if not

This is just my opinion but to many people have the TTII's. So I would go with something else to stand out.

Fellas I was set on the TT2's myself till I seen this pic with Boyd Coddington Smoothies. They look 10 times better, and they cost about the same PLUS we all know that the TT2's are played out on Camaro's and T/A's the last year or two if I saw a f-body with rims more than half of the time they were TT2's anyways I'm gonna stop shellin out my speech as to how bad TT2's look vs. the Boyd Coddington Smoothies.. look at this pic and decide for yourself

I Have the TT2's and they look nice on my car nice and wide out the back... after i got them everywhere i look some F-body or blazer has those wheels, I was the only one with them in my neighborhood and now i find that there's another black LT1 Z28 looks just like my car with the same rims, my buddys cannot tell us apart besides the plates so im debating on selling them for something different but it's so hard to find a good looking rim that no one else has with a nice dished lip.

I prefer the TTII's over the Boyds. I like the stepped lip.
