Exclamation 383 stroker??

Can install 383 in stock LS1engine or should make rebuilt on it? Does it produce same power of h/c? I know it cost more than h/c by $1000.
here is the link for 383

If you're asking if a 383 crank will fit in your current LS1 block, the answer is yes. However, you'll need machine work and some clearencing, new rods, bearings and pistons. They usually make a little more hp and a lot more torque, all depends how BIG you go on the head & cam side.

Mine makes 455rwhp 440rwtq. My cam is a very streetable 236/238

Are you saying it is $1k more than H&C because you are going to try to do this on stock heads? If yes, you are leaving a lot of power on the table.

building a good, powerful stroker involves a lot more then just honing the block, throwing a new crank in, and carefully throwin some parts together. its a system, which needs to be designed with an end goal in mind. once you figure out what you really want out of your stroker, then its time to start looking into parts.
