Default Converter Lockup Issue..Need Help!!

Well I have a Vig 3000 2.5 str and have had it installed for almost a year now and had it programmed. Yesterday will driving in OD at 45 the converter tried locking up but didn't. Could tell it was trying too. I let out of the throttle and got back into it and it locked up with no problems and everything seemed normal again. The shifts were not out of ordinary and once locked, feels like it always has. The tranny doesn't feel like its slipping or anything. This same thing happened to me again today. I have not got a SES light either. What could the problem be?

No unusual noise at all, just the rpm's going up and down as the coverter is trying to lockup and unlocks

and your throttle input did not change? I'm just wondering if you were on the edge of a lock / unlock point.

If the converter clutch is going bad, you generally start to hear it or can feel it fighting to hold on.

Yeah thats the wierd part, once it locks its normal again. When locked up I can give it gas (just enough before it kicks down) and it pulls without the rpm's jumping up, so I know its not slipping. Taking it in tomorrow and they will scan it and log some miles to see if its the computer/electronics or something else. AAHH...this crap sucks

From what I have heard the looser converter could be making the computer think the transmission is slipping or engine misfiring. This could result in the random unlocking of the converter. I was told tuning should solve this.

BTW mine does the same thing(hasn't been tuned)
