Default 231/237 cam on ls1intake?

would i be able to do this with a good tune? or am i asking for trouble? or is this just a matter of me hanging up some hp somewhere in the intake side?

im going n/a and getting rid of the juice. need some opinions on a cam. coul di get a nice lopey sound with a 224? Im shooting for 370+ rwhp and a nice lopey sound at idle with my hooker catback, lts and ory.
thanks fellas..

I'd go with at least an LS6 intake if you're planning on more HP mods like a cam... the more HP you add to the car, the more your LS1 intake will cause you to leave HP on the table... Especially with a cam like the 231/237 which likes to live in the higher RPM range.

id say your probably passing up on 15-20 rwhp by sticking with an ls1 intake but most issues can be handled fairly easily with tuning. Most any cam can be made to sound lopey by just lowering the idle a bit.

so do you think i could get my 370 still even with the ls1 intake with a 231 /237? Im not shooting for 390+, id be happy with 365 but if i can get 370-380 from a cam shaft with tuning id be happy as a clam.
thanks for the info

being that you have a manual i dont see any problems with you hitting 370 cam only.

I have the LS1 intake on my car with the 231/237. I plan on getting an LS6 intake on within the next two weeks to really get the power out of my setup.
