Default Question reguarding HOT FUEL LINES.

With my new 3 inch X-pipe setup my pipes nearly touch the metal fuel lines under the car on the drivers side. I jacked the car in the air after about 3-4 minutes after its been off, and those metal fuel lines are HOT . At work today I bought the DEI EXTREME HEAT TAPE , and there wrap. Do you think after I wrap all those lines up near my exhaust, that it might help me out? I would hate to see how hot the gas is entering the engine. Im hoping this will lower the temps some. Any input would be great.

It wont hurt, thats for sure. One of my muffs was right below the fuel lines and fuel filter and I didnt have any problem.

There are several (2 i think) little black clips screwed onto the car holding the fuel lines in place. Unscrew them and turn them over. This will take a little force, but don't worry, they'll go. Once you do this you have raised your fuel lines 3-4 inches. I did this and know several others who have as well.
