Default Just some Friday night racing results

I've recently made my car legal with the addition of a 5-point cromoly roll bar and 5-point harness.
With these additions I've added somewhere around 50-70 pounds; a number which I will nail down this week when I get to a scale. Nonetheless I had a raceweight of somewhere around 3370-3390.
I ran the car just like I drive it save the passenger seat, slicks, and a clean K&N filter.

I made two passes (At No Problem Raceway) before I decided to come home for some brew.
1.50 11.34@118
1.49 11.32@118

Well, the weight has definatley slowed the car down. But I want to race the Thunder race in november and start going to the track too so this was a necessary step.
I have a BMR k-member sitting at Futral motorsports waiting to be installed so that should help get the weight back down to the 3350 range. Overall I'm happy though and am still anticipating a 10 second timeslip come fall.

** can anyone tell me how to figure out the DA tonight with the resources available online?

Pretty decent times considering the weather and your raceweight.
You'll get that 10 sec slip, it's just a matter of time!
How'd that line lock work for ya?

BTW, nice avatar you got there buddy!

Gordon, the SLP linelock worked just fine. Thanks again for your help.

Alan, the car stayed really flat and felt very controllable. Otherwise I didnt feel any difference.

Those are excellent timeslips for the summer heat Mike! It just goes to show what a nice raceweight will do for you. My piggish 3,520# raceweight last weekend got me 11.7's. Are you going to run in the street stock automatic class for the Thunder Shootout? If so, that will kick ***! That's the class I'm registered in. You have a ways to go still on the raceweight, though. When are ya gonna toss a set of heads on the car?

I'm not too excited about the drag radial limit, nor the minimum weight, nor the cubic inch rule though.
BTW is open Borla exhaust considered an "open cutout" like the rules say is not allowed?

I'll be getting a new set of drag radials and start racing the car like it will be set up in November sometime in early october.

I have no plans for heads on this car...atleast not until I'm in the 10's with just the cam.

Otherwise thanks for the positive replies guys.
