Default First time at track with my new M6

Horrible. I thought I had gotten pretty damn good at shifting, Im gonna put up all three of my runs. I just cant figure out why I have so much wheel hop, its horrible, I look like a mustang with all that wheel hop.

R/T - .867
60' - 2.414
594ft - 9.704
1/8 - 10.364
MPH - 68.16

R/T - .971
60' - 2.327
594ft - 8.811
1/8 - 9.375
MPH - 79.77

R/T - .913
60' - 2.118
594ft - 8.519
1/8 - 9.085
MPH - 79.52

If anyone can give me any pointers, at what RPM to dump the clutch.
Needless to say, I miss my automatic, wish I could find someone to do a tranny swap.

One of my friends just bought a BMW and rented the track a week ago with us and was running 13.4's in the 104's in the 1/4 all night and he was hitting in the 8.8 to 8.9 @ 81 to 82 MPH in the 1/8th he was coming out at about 2500 I believe and getting 2.0 60's and I think he got a 1.9 60' out of it as well The car only had about 300 miles on it

Dont feel bad my buddies v6 camaro schooled a 02 Z28 M6 that night LMAO my friends V6 went a 14.83 @ 91 MPH and the 02 Z28 turned an impressive 15.035 @ 97.49 the Z went a whoping 73.52 in the 1/8...but he did have a 2.7 60 he finally got the 02 Z down to a 14.209 @ 101.21 with a 2.3 60'. The moral to this is PRACTICE dont give up a few of us there KNOW we could of had that Z in the mid 13's all night

just practice, when i ran at steele alabama, i ran a 13.3 @ 108 with a lid and muffler. Not cat back, just muffler. It was warm out that day too, and the track kinda sucked. if this is the first manual car you've had, it'll take while.

Poly torque arm bushing and a tranny mount solved my wheel hop issues - those are two cheap things to try first.
