Hard to say without the exact code # + evap codes can be fun to diagnois. Did you get the "make sure the gas cap is tight" yet? Has the gas tank ever been out B-4?

Low input would be an electrical problem not a evap leak. You might check the purge valve solenoid or the vent valve solenoid (depending on which code) for proper resistance and be sure the pink wire to each has 12 volts with engine running.

P049 isn't an OBDII code, EVAP should be P0440, P0442, etc. Be sure of the code first - get it scanned again if you have to.

Im positive the code is P0449 I didnt realize I had a typo before. Are those solenoids your talking about on top of the gas tank?

I have a code similar and I noticed lately when I take the gas cap off it releases pressure. Do I need a new cap or is a valve sticking

PO449 is an electrical fault (not an EVAP leak) for the tank vent solenoid. The solenoid is bad (electrically) or the wiring is open (busted).
