Well it is everyone's own opinion, but I love my 3:73's! It also depends what tires you are running. 4:10 seemed a little much for my supercharged car but they like taller gears to begin with I loved it with my lid ad cat back (3:73's). I know a lot of people running 4:10 some like some don't. The ones that don't like it say that there is almost no need for first gear at all etc... So maybe you could find some one in you local area to let you take a ride/drive and see whitch ones fit your needs best etc...

thats the key. find ppl with the gears and drive the car with them. then you can know for sure what you like.

my reasoning for not going with 3.73's- i can launch at 6600rpm and it'll still bog down to 3k with my 3.70's

Yeah I am sure mine would do the same if I went for a hard launch but I still have the stock 10 bolt and I don't go to the track but about 6-10 times a year just for fun etc... Again it is all depending on what you plan to do etc...

NA I love my 4.10's, about to add spray and I am thinking of going to 3.73's because of rpm/trap speed.

I had 4.10's in my 10 bolts when my engine was stock and absolutely love those gears. Only complaint was the lack of traction in 1st gear, but it was manageable.

Now, with a 382 stroker coming into the car next week , I had to swap the entire rear end for a 12 bolts with 3.73's. With 130 more RWTQ, traction would have really been an issue with 4.10's.

IMO it depend on how much torque you plan to make to the wheels and what you intend to do with your car. Mine is a daily driver, that's why I switched for 3.73's. But for a drag car, I would have sticked with 4.10's in the 12 bolts.

Thumbs up Awesome

Thanks for the help guys. I think I will go with the 3.73s after all. I don't go to the track that much and I do a-lot of highway driving so I think they will work great. Thanks again for the advice.

I love my 3.73
I had 3.42 then 3.73 then 4.10
I went back to 3.73
4.10 is way too short for me.
My car is N/A

4.10 is the beat IMO
Use the real GM gears, not the aftermarket crap.
