why is my MPH so low for my mods????
I ran at carslbad yesterday an it is at sea leve and the weather was about 80 and a bit humid. I ran a best of 13.4 @ 106 with a 2.1 60'
before i had my headers and exhaust I was trapping very high 105 and now headers added well under 1 mph?
I figured with my mods I should be trapping 108-110. What do you guys think?

Well, having run at Carlsbad before, I can safely say that that POS track is worth at least 4-5 mph off of what your car really does. My brother lived out there for 10 years and has been there numerous times as well in his Mustang. The best he ran out there was a 12.46 @ 109.1 on drag radials. When he moved to houston, he went 12.25 @ 113.8 with the car warm!
Carlsbad has a dirt return road, grass growing threw the cracks, an uphill staging lane......correct me if I am wrong.
I think your car is running good considering where you are running!

You are probably running too rich, lean that translator down WOT settings and your speed will go up.

Re: why is my MPH so low for my mods????
ok I did some thinking and here is what I think may cause the low MPH or at least all combined to make it low.
small exhaust leak
possible burnt posi
the heat and me having stock thermo and fan swettings
MAFT not tuned in completely
about 2.8* of knock retard.

Don't get me wrong, the heat does have an effect but the conditions you raced in were not terrible, that's all I'm saying. Plus, like you said, your friends were running 2 to 3 mph faster than you with fewer mods on the same day. How did you previously compare with them at the drag strip, on the same day?

Re: why is my MPH so low for my mods????
my MPH has always been kinda low, beofre the headers, new exhaust, MAFT, and TBB, I was running 105 in the 1/4
