54% humidity, Baro is 29.9 (steady)
There's now a 50% chance of rain. Not till late though, so hopefully it holds off. See ya tonight John!

Re: GLD tonite anyone? (9-17-02)
I left work at 3pm and went home and fired up Dragula, car was all ready to go. Got to Speed Inc. and Intmd8 lowered my shift points to 6600 for 1-2 and 2-3. Last time I went to the track, last Thursday, I was hitting the rev limiter 1-2.
Well I sat in a lot of traffic and was finally tech'd in at GLD around 7:45pm. I swapped on the 28x10.5x15 Hoosiers again, did the !passenger seat mod, the !air filter mod, and got in line.
11.09@122.34/ 1.55/ 7.077/ 97.67
-front QA1's at 2/2, rears at 5/5
-car spun a bit off the line
-launched at 1300
-Hoosiers at 14psi
11.06@122.14/ 1.54/ 7.046/ 97.70
-front QA1's at 2/2, rears at 4/4
-launched at 1300
-Hoosiers at 14psi
11.09@122.28/ 1.57/ 7.073/ 97.55
-front QA1's at 2/2. rears at 4/4
-launched at 1300
-Hoosiers at 14psi
-locked converter for all of third
11.04@122.38/ 1.53/ 7.026/ 97.81
-front QA1's at 1/1, rears at 4/4
-launched at 2400
-Hoosiers at 12psi
Thanks to Brad, Pris, and Darren for the feedback on the launches and for letting me blabber on and on about what I should try next.
Conclusions:
1-2 shiftpoint at 6600 works great, I might even try 6500 next time if I can.
2-3 shiftpoint is too low for this converter, needs another 200 rpms at least it was dropping too low hence the 122mph.
Locking up the converter did not add, just lugged the motor down even more than it was (see above line)
Stalling the converter up higher was what helped that last run, the car left harder. I think that I could run a 10.99 as the car sits if I could raise up 2-3 shift and launch the car around 2400-2600.
I would say I am around 3475 raceweight but I will weigh the car as soon as I can at this other scale I just heard about.
xfivelitre was racing his bolton A4 and I recall him going 12.4@110. He said he went 12.1@112 at US41 last week so I'm pretty encouraged by the sound of that! He was on skinnies with ET Streets as well.
My next series of changes...
1) FTRA
2) Yank TPE4500 (Colonel's old 10.06 converter)
See you guys at the track soon!!!!!!!!!

Wow John, that's great! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
You're just a tick away. It almost hurts to get so close and not bring home a 10.99 timeslip!
It looks like you'll have it next time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
