Default Hypertech 3 shift rpm setting

Hello Members,
I have a 98 TA with basic bolt ons, catback and air lid also 3.23 rear. What is the optimum setting for the HPP3 for the shift RPM. The car tacks out to 6000rpm. My question is will short shifting give a better et and mph. I know some members have extended their shift rpm to 6300 but i am worried if the stock cam will run off its peak. Also at what rpm does the shock cam start to fall off its curve.
Thanks

Default

With a stock or 3000 stall, raising the 1-2 shift provides a big gain because the ratio spacing is so huge. There is also some gain on the 2-3.

When i had headers, 3500 stall, and bolt-ons I used 6200.

Default RPM/Shift

So what is the recommended setting for the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift points?
