Default Z06 Wheel offset Q's???? All Z06 wheel owners.....Please help.

I have my 99 Firebird with a set of 18x10.5 w/ a 53 mm offset in all 4 corners. My problem is that i feel they are to tucked inside the fender. I want them to ride right along the fender line anyone know the proper offset. I got the wheels from performance wheeloutlet. Who sells the right offset.

You can try some spacers first. I don't know if that will push them out far enough. Also, they might rub the fender if out too far. Talk to Xsta Z 28, he is the master of this stuff.

Nobody (unfortunately) makes the "perfect" offset in Z06 style wheels for the F-Body. Since you have the 53 MM offset 10.5" wide wheels you've got the best available offset, there may have been 50 MM but I think they are discontinued.

So your only choice is spacers, and before I recommend spacers you must keep in mind the lug studs will have to be replaced with longer/stronger studs. To get the spacer size you want you need to determine how much do you want the wheel to move outward, and that will give you your spacer size. So for example, if you want the wheel to be 1/2" further outward, you would buy a 1/2" spacer/adapter. If you can find them, I highly recommend spending the extra dough for quality hub and wheel centric spacers/adapters. H&R Springs comes to mind.

Do you have any pics of these wheels on your car?

That is exactly what I want to do to my car but my car is lowered 2" so having them tucked in would be perfect for me.

Thanks!

I seriously doubt it. I have 38 yes 38 mm offset wheels and THEY sit flush with the wheel wells.

are yours 10.5 or 9.5? Flush is a good fit, right? Or is it only for lowered cars, not stockers?

Both, I have 9.5 fornt and 10.5 rear. IMHO, will work with stock suspension or lowered, looks better lowered, but causes issues with wheel lip contact in the rear on my Convertible.

Lots of close up pics here:

I have 18in / 56mm / 9.5 with 265's up front and 285's out back and they don't sit flush with the fenders. They are tucked in a bit but with the car lowered i think it looks good.

I wish someone would step up and build a lightweight ZO6 replica wheel with something like a 40-44mm offset. This would be a great setup IMO...

u guys must like your cars to look like XXXXXX cars, mine ar as stated above 18 by 9.5 inch an 275 35 18 an the are right where my stockers are, pretty much lined up with the fenders, unless they sent me the wrong offset then ther 56mm, if u look from the back the perfectly lined up

No need for racial slurs . . . plus I got yelled at for that . . . .

Did you bother to look at Xsta's link? It shows pretty clearly what the 38mm Fikse's look like compared to the fenders. Now add 18mm to that and see what you have (that's a little less than 3/4"). Remember, the tape measure is your friend...

CCW Complete Custom Wheel in Florida will make wheels to any size and offset you like. I have a set of their 16x10 wheels that sit right out on the lip of the fender just as you are describing. It does look much better IMO. No spacers needed, and a lot lighter than Z06 replicas, but a little pricey. Here's their website:
