The Quickest Stock Internal M6 in the country
Well,I've decided to take the title.
Granted I haven't beat 11.56 yet(I will very shortly)
But RAGEman's car is no more.
Even if he still had it,on the same day at the same track,
I would more than likely beat him.
So until further dispute,I am the new King. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Not that anyone but me cares.
I will still beat 11.56,though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
BadHabitBird-do you know the DA on the day RAGEman set the record?
or the day and time and city,so I could figure it out.(track altitude also)
Thanks

Uh, you can't take that title until you beat it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Thats why its a record and set in history, not a title of "currently fastest bolton M6 car in the country" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

Change your sig too.
Maybe you can put down:
"The quickest stock internal M6 car not owned by Rageman who posts his times on the internet in the country, and quite possibly the world!"
LOL

I saw Rageman's car, it was gutted to the core, it also ran in texas at a good DA. So it is a serious challenge for you, granted no one has yet come close to fully weight reduceing a car and runing at -1000 DA in Texas air at 40 degrees with perfect traction and internally stock. If the colonel's car weighs 2700 lbs with cage and stuff, I bet you could get it down to under 2600 lbs without cage and stuff with a light driver. You'll get one run before you get booted. 2750 lb race weight would be about 300 lbs lighter then Rageman. I don't recall what gears he had, I'd say 4.10s but maybe higher ratio. Rageman is also a light guy.

Re: The Quickest Stock Internal M6 in the country
remember, the info you see on the record lists comes from data gathered on the internet. Who knows, maybe rageman's race weight was under 2900 lbs, or maybe he had a bad assed tail wind.
But 11.5x is really moving <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
good luck.

Re: The Quickest Stock Internal M6 in the country
I see your points and you are right.
Maybe I should say 'currently'.I'm not saying I am the record holder.
More than likely I will be next time I go to the track.(fingers crossed)
There is nobody with a stock internal M6 that could beat me
at the same track on the same day.Say if we were to race tomorrow.
That's the point I'm making.
RAGEman is the record holder,no contest.
I am the quickest active M6.
True?
I went 11.66 on a soft launch @ 2100+DA.
Do you see any problem beating 11.56 in cooler weather?

Im not saying you cant beat him, and yes you are right to really know who the king is we would all have to race the same day same track and even at the same time. but you know and i know that will never happen. heck you could have a cam for all I know. or I could have a cam. I think the list is just a way of seeing how well you are comparing to others.

Re: The Quickest Stock Internal M6 in the country
That's true.
RAGEman went 121 MPH.That's faster than most H/C cars.
It just makes me try harder.
Mods? EVERYTHING,I mean EVERYTHING except the motor and a cage.

I guess we all can't be as fast as Jsears8.

Oh nevermind,I haven't started making power yet. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
441 rwhp is about 90 more than me,which is roughly .9 tenths.
So on a bad run you should go 10.7x's.
Sound about right? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

Re: The Quickest Stock Internal M6 in the country
Hit the track and post up some times.
hit it again and again and again <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> until you smoke RAGEman.
He traped at 121 because of his weight, not just hp.
The fastest stock internal NA automatic traped at 120 or 121 mph as well <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
How much does your car weigh? I'm glad to see someone trying to beat down the old na stock internal record.

Re: The Quickest Stock Internal M6 in the country
Allan's car really wasn't all that light. Sure it looked gutted but like Raugh said before, there was A LOT more stuff he could have done to get the weight down further than 3200 lbs. Hell my street weight with me in it is less than 3300 and I am running on fikses (275 and 315 tires to boot) with two seats, carpet, AC etc. If he had got a 12 bolt like he planned, he could have easily clicked off a 11.3-11.4...

Re: The Quickest Stock Internal M6 in the country
It is true that Alan's car is no more. hell i helped him sell some of his parts. when alan made his 11.56 the only thing in car was his dash(minus the radio and climate contols) and the bumper supports were still in, other than that every thing was takin out. i have all of his track runs on tape. he ran 11.67 at HRP and then not a week later ran the 11.56 at TAD aka Temple acadamy dragway. aleindroid alan did it with stock 3.42's in the car it wasn't until about 3 weeks after he put the gears in, he never got a chance to run it with the gears.

Re: The Quickest Stock Internal M6 in the country
A couple of things as I see it.
1. I don't think O1Z is talking any smak at all. I think he's just getting close to something that we all can respect. I good number. As far as proof that he doesn't have a cam? Well how is there proof that people don't have massaged heads also? I guess we just have to trust people.
2. The quickest "Internally stock M6" in the country would be Harlan. His motor was completely stock but had a couple of Twin turbos bolted to the outside. So really it would be the quickest "Inernally stock and normally aspirated" record.
All in all it's a matter of trusting someone to be truthfull. In this case I trust O1Z since I know him.
Jsears8, <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[kaboom]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
