Default Difference between max ported LS1 and LS6 heads???

Im getting a 414ci built for me and i plan on getting stage 2 heads and then hand ported for max flow...I am trying to decide whether to pay the core charge for ls1 heads or Ls6 heads.

Whats the benefites by paying an extra 1100 for LS6 heads?

There is not that much of a difference between heads......

The LS6 heads offers a slightly smaller combustion chamber, and the D shape exhaust ports. So with the LS6 you'd have a slight increase in cr and a little better flow of exhaust.

If you could get a good deal on the LS6 I would go with them...

...you get D-shaped exhaust ports...the combustion chamber is more effecient and the compression is 10.5 in stead of 10.1 ...the intake and exhaust runners are slightly larger ...if your porting these heads the difference is very negligible...

I suspose your 414 is an iron LQ4 with stock 4" bore and 4.125 stoked crank?

No it is a resleeved LS1 alum...4.06 bore and 4.0 stroked crank. stock bore is 3.9 not 4.0. They are doing the 4.060 bore because its stronger than the 4.1 (383,422s)
