Holden Performance - Brand New Holden All-Alloy V6 3.6L 190kw Multi-Valve DOHC Engine

Hey Guys,

Check out this at www.holden.com.au it's about the brand new all alloy V6 Holden engine, looks like a monster, can't wait for LS2 now. Theres a small flash movie about it, I can't link to it so visit to main site, you'll find the link on the bottom right hand side, it's got a picture of the new badass engine on it, click on that and away you'll go.

Isn't this just the same global 3.6L DOHC V6 GM first introduced in the Cadillac CTS as an optional engine? I believe it is also the base engine for the SRX and the all new STS and GM will be putting it under the hood of the upcoming Buick LaCrosse as the optional engine.

Great motor but I'm pretty sure it's just the Aussie built version of an engine that has already been introduced. ;)

Looks like you may be right mate. I'll get some more info and get back with a definate answer. There's talk of a turbo or maybe even twin turbo commodore/monaro models coming out with this engine.

Me guesses this will be Holdens answer to the Falcon XR6T with it's turbocharged 4.0L straight 6,
