Default Plase help with RWHP numbers! :(

Please help with RWHP numbers!

I am thinking about doing this set-up, but before I do it, I want to know how much horespower I should expect.

1998 M6 Z28

LS6 Cam (what else should I get with this)
Stock Heads
ASP Pulley (gains?)

Exhaust:
Hooker Shorty Headers (un-coated)
Stock Y-pipe+Cats
Magnaflow Cat-back

Intake:
SLP Lid
Stock Throttle Body, unported (what would be the gains if I ported this/got a aftermarket one)
Stock Intake (what kind of gains would I see if an LS6 intake)
SLP CAI

Stock Tuning (what kind of gains would I see if I tuned)

Lastly, how will my completly stock rear-end hold up? (I also have BMR LCA's installed if that matters)

Thanks so much!!

~350rwhp, dont expect much as most of your mods arent huge HP gainers. you could do a lot better. check the guides in my sig.

I want to know how much horespower I should expect: 345-355 rwhp

LS6 Cam (what else should I get with this): Valve springs, Pushrods, Timing set, Oil pump
Stock Heads
ASP Pulley (gains?): 3-7 rwhp

Exhaust:
Hooker Shorty Headers (un-coated)
Stock Y-pipe+Cats
Magnaflow Cat-back

Intake:
SLP Lid
Stock Throttle Body, unported (what would be the gains if I ported this/got a aftermarket one): 5-8 rwhp
Stock Intake (what kind of gains would I see if an LS6 intake): 7-10 rwhp
SLP CAI

Stock Tuning (what kind of gains would I see if I tuned): 5-10 rwhp

Lastly, how will my completly stock rear-end hold up? (I also have BMR LCA's installed if that matters): If you are nice to it, it will hold up fine. If you buy ET streets and do some 4K launches it wont see the light of the nect day.

Thanks so much!!: You're welcome.

Thanks a lot guys! One quick question though, the 345-355 number, is that before or after the bolded numbers added up?

I wish I could, I almost did....

New Jersey is just as bad as Cali.

So if I did everything +373 gears, what should I be trapping at (my ET will suck with the un-matching stock tires. I trapped at 101.8 and ran a 13.5....with a 2.6 60 footer, all stock).

Thanks again guys!!!! (this is why this forum > NeonNeonNeon4 forums)

edit: lol it says types neonneonneon4 isntead of S.R.T...funny but c'mon guys, a little immature

LT's, maybe even true duals...that's what I'm doing. Just got done with the LS6 intake install...good luck. An FTRA wouldn't be a bad idea, and with that cam, you could do some nice 1.85 rocker arms too (or at least as far as I know).

I have a few questions

Shorty headers? Why? Live in CA? You can always swap your long tubes/mid lengths out for the stock manifolds come inspection time. You will not see much of a gain with shorty headers, other than them looking nicer if they are coated or chrome or what not. You will get bored with them quick

LS6 cam? Why? Why not put something better in there since you are opening it up anyways? No reason to go in twice, since you WILL get bored of that cam quick

I vote you stay away from the SLP lid. I have seen too many fitment issues, and their advertised gains are funny. Go with an MTI, TSP, or Direct Flo lid. You will probably be happier

Your rear will hold up just fine. While you technically might have enough torque to break it, you do not have near enough traction to break it. If you did a good ammount of suspension/chasis work, threw on some ET drags, and launched that mother hard, I'm sure you'd break it. But other than that, you'll be just fine

It looks like you are going for the street-friendly combination like I did. Heh, but not always tire friendly. I recommend tuning. It makes a big difference. As far as your rear-end. It should hold up fine. The problem is, the stock rear and sticky tires (like slicks) don't mix. You can either spin the wheels, or replace the rear. I prefer to spin the wheels myself.
