Default COMP 978 SPRINGS. Machining required?

Does anyone know if the 978 Springs will go to .600 lift on a LS1 w/ a 222/224 114 LSA.

Also does any machining need to be done to the seat to have this done on Stock Valve Seats and Stock Shims and other stuff. If machining needs to be done, then can you let me know what kind.. or do I just need to buy certain parts.

They will work fine with that cam, but they do require machining to the spring pocket. You can't just buy parts either to make them work. You have to maching the pockets unless you go with a 1.250" Dual Spring like a Comp 921 Kit or something of that nature. The 921 Kit includes seals, locators, springs, locks, and titanium retainers. It is very pricey though. Look to spend in the $510 range plus shipping for a set. Hope this helps.
