Default hey Mikey!

did Joe Kizzire answer your question on the W tires ... last I remembered he said the reason he didn't allow W tires is that the modifications needed for people to run those tires is cost prohibitive.

What modifications did you make to be able to run the W series tire?

Java: You are correct on Joe's answer. I had to bang the wheel wells a little, that's all. The hardest part is going from a 26" to a 28". Considering tire growth, I had to trim about 1" off of my rear facia. This would be true for a W or non W tire. The W was the easy part. Nice 10lb sledge did the trick <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I said we never considered the W's from the get go because of the work that had to be done to the car to make them fit. I also said the there are several Limited Street cars around that run low nines and high eights on true 10.5's.

Steve let it lay and just race!!!!

Joe, what work? It wasn't that hard. All it needed was a little <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />

Now a clutchless...different story. May be doing a Liberty conversion this winter. Need to save my pennies for that one.

Mikey the tire rule is not going to be changed. It has been the same for almost a year and suddenly you want to change it. I really can't understand what your problem is.

Also you might as well call off your lap dog Java.

Mikey you keep bitching about clutchless transmissions. Mikey a roadrace Jerico is not clutchless and is a bolt in requiring the same amount of work and money as a race built Turbo 350 with a brake. A man with a business in the performance industry should know that.

I think it is great that T.R. is putting this thing on and am looking forward to spectating. Personnaly I could care less about the class rules I just think your explanations are lame ... you stated that it is too much work and money to run W tires, all Mikey had to do was beat the fender well and roll the wheel well lip. That doesn't even compare to the money involved in running the transmission SAM has.

So in other words you have no problem putting the heat on other people (like complaining about the NFRA rulles in B.G.) but when the screws are put on you for an explanation you resort to insults. Typical and expected. Besides, we know who is filling your feed dish.

OK Steve let me put it another way..... A true 10.5 inch tire is the norm around the NMCA/PRO/FFW/NMRA events. When we got togather and solidified the rules the 10..5 max width was chosen because most of the cars that would be eligible for the race could fit them on the car with no work at all.

Besides that Steve I was giving a explaination trying to get Mikey to come on down to the race not to keep you happy. Where I'm at right now is I'm through explaining myself. I don't owe you or Mikey any more explainations. The rule is no W's. You can come to the races or you can stay at home. It's your choice.

Also Steve when I get to BR you and I can talk face to face about my feed dish and that's a promise.

Hey, can we make this a side attraction at the Shootout? This would be great to see to fat boys belly bumping at the staging lights. LOL

This one is starting to get out of hand...

Guys, take the personal attacks/insults to email. They don't belong here.
