Default Is there an advantage with ported 5.3L heads?

I have a great deal on some 5.3L heads and I am going to have them ported, but I am not sure why I should choose these over some LS1/LS6 heads of equal port job (stage 1 or 2) I know the 5.3L heads will raise compression, I know that I am not going with a blower or turbo. The goals of my car are 450-475rwhp and mid 10's at the track with the help of NO2, and mid 11's N/A, I have all the bolt on's and the hot cam witch will come out when a custom gride that will match the heads will go in, but I am not sure why I should choose these, I am getting these for $100 there off a 2000 truck 5.3L and check in great condition so is the difference so minor that this deal is worth getting? if its 10hp or so thenI dont care.

sorry for all the question, but thanks

according to most of the head porters here the prefer the 5.3 castings over the 5.7's
