I must be cursed, but new best with cam After a broken 918, coolant sensor, other small crap I go to make a shakedown pass with cam
pitaful pitaful <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> I make one pass and come around and see Trannymainyack unloading the car so i go to pull over there before i get back in the lanes and WTF..no power steering??? We look under the hood and find no belt <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> sucker popped right off and ate it up. I call my GF, give her the part number. She calls advanced auto and they have one. She comes all the way to MIR(hour and 1/2drive), and i notice right off hand its the STOCK BELT(fackers didnt give her the one i needed cause they assumed i had stock crap). Luckly chris(efa) was up there and let me use his short belt. IT SUCKS DRIVING WITH NO POWER STEERING al the way home!! Feels like a farm truck! Also there had to be 7 Z06's there running 11.9-12.8's(missed running them)
anyway here is my crappy one pass time...
60: 1.70 I always test the track on my first pass to see how its hooking so my first 60 usually is 1-2tenths off
1/8th: 7.60 @ 91
1/4th: 11.90 @ 114 dang good MPH for my POS 60ft
my mph always comes up as I 60 better
Im guessing I coulda pulled some 11.7's @ 115 on a 1.6x If I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN MORE THEN ONE PASS <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
yeah im ticked... 30 bucks for one pass, 17 for GF to bring the belt to me and a sucky 11.9 <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />
on a side note i know this sucker is gonna fly when its not 80's(yes it had to be 82-85 there) out and I get a good 60 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
also did some research... I cut a 1.70 before cam and only went 7.88@88 and 12.26@111 so its a solid 3/3 pickup in this weather!
btw: most of the cars there were 2-3tenths off there best(ok im done making excuses) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: I must be cursed, but new best with cam Awesome man! It sucks that you keep having your little misfortunes, but those thoughts will all go away soon as you get a few clean passes and the times reflect your effort.
