Default AFR/Tony - Minor Head Problem

Just a heads up. We ran into 1 minor problem with our new AFR 205 Heads.

The accessory holes are in the proper locations, but are not quite as deeply threaded as Stock GM heads.

Stock bolts work ok with the AFR's, but any other aftermarket bolts that expect the same thread depth and are a bit longer won't work.

For example, our C5 Vortech kit had longer bolts for all of the kit bracketry that mounts to the heads that would not bottom out on the AFR's. We had to cut short all of the Vortech bolts to get them installed.

Credit to Angel Diez at Kelley Chevrolet for working the issue and cutting my bolts all down to size without complaining, lol.
The threads should be a bit deeper if possible like the GM heads from factory.

They probably did that to have extra room for porting and keeping the integrity of the casting up. I'd rather have a stronger head and cut a few bolts. Not to mention that it was only for the vortec bolts.

Thought it might be for strength/porting clearance also.

Wanted to see what Tony Mamo thought.
