Got me a TSP lid, fitment is great. I went with an AC Delco filter. I don't really notice any difference. I've yet to open her up all the way. I guess I was expecting too much from the lid.

A lid is only worth about 10hp. It's tough to feel that little power. Your throttle response should be better though.

yeah a lid isnt a turbo kit or spray.
Dyno will be high and 1/4 should drop a little but nothing drastic.
Bad thing is you get used to your car, and as you do things to it
it wont feel much faster, but it will be at the track.
My car feels stock, then I drive a stock one, and then you notice
what youve gained.

i noticed a difference, just put mine on last night. feels a little crisper, and from a slow take off and then flooring it, it seems to spin 'em a little bit easier.

My car feels faster when it's clean too.

You'll drop at tenth at the track and pick up 10rwhp. There is no SOTP gain really.

Like some of the others have said, a little more throttle response, or that's what I noticed anyway.

Throttle Response...10rwhp mayb a lil more...bout a 1/10 or a few in the 1/4 mile...and an exhaust tone change...the extra air going in tends to give exhausts a lil more rumble or throat i noticed it with my car when i didnt have LM....i noticed it on my g/f's brothers stang when he got a new TB...it gets a bit of a nicer tone

I noticed a difference with a lid at night. Just driving around when its real cold. I think im getting better use of air out there.

When I put my Lid I felt the difference when I got on it. I felt it pulled a little harder.

You may or may not.. When you are already making 300 HP 10HP is not much.. I think you want to feel a diffrence so you convince your self you do.. You should be able to see it on a Dyno and at the track though..

I noticed a big difference, but I also have a K&N plus free ram air mod. If you don't think you notice put the old lid back on you will know for sure. Actually I felt like I got more than 10 hp.

I felt a "snappier" throttle response with mine - not a monstrous power increase at WOT or anything like that.

Just fyi...a K&N does absolutely nothing compared to the stock paper filter. ;)

No filter works better than any filter, :D only at the track of course. Unless you want to make your engine look like a tar pit.

Part of that feeling of harder acceleration may be due to the air silencer being removed. The car sounds a little different and therefore you convince yourself that you can notice a difference in acceleration. Either way you get what you want....pleasure from the "performance".

I didn't feel a difference, but I sure could hear one! Looking at the two lids side-by-side, it's easy to see how much better the aftermarket lid will flow though. It's hard to feel 10-15hp in the pants.

Thanks for the replies. It was mid-afternoon (fairly humid), when it was put on. I haven't driven it since. It definitly sounded different (deeper rumble). Lower humidity & cooler air temp is a better horsepower atmosphere! I really wanted to feel a SOTP difference.

I don't get this. It's only good for one tenth at the track yet it's a different car? A turbo makes a car feel completely different, not a lid that frees up 10hp.

i think that possibly my overdrive acceleration (accelerating in overdrive without dropping a gear, and without "pushin" much pedal) got a little more aggressive. Plus the engine rev's sound a little more aggressive without that damn air silencer.
