Default scanner, all maxed out at 24 paramaters?

Messing around with HPtuners and noticed i could only select 24 bytes.

are all of the scanner options for the LS1 this way?

And what is the fastest scanner available for the LS1 community right now.

Thanks.

You can only get 24 PIDs.

EFILiveV6 has the same limitation, 24 PIDs in their
10/sec and 5/sec logging rate modes. However you
can get a slightly larger "bundle" at reduced frame
rate or less-consistent (as-available) frame rate.

I think it pertains to the GM OBDII interface and
not the logger itself. I think 10x24 is up against what
the bus can support.

Ease software can give you 65 paramaters in realtime logging. According to their literature

"EASE PC Based Scan Tools allow users to view live vehicle data on a PC in grid, graph or meter format. The large viewing screen and speed of the personal computer allow the user to view up to 68 live parameters at the same time and produce graphs with scope-like resolution"

There's been some arguments about that on here and other boards.

If you drop down the bytes to 6 or lower, many V8 applications scan at 40 frames per second.

I believe that would make it one of the fastest scanners.

I think the question was, can you get wider data
at 10Hz (or, what rate could you log wider than
24, at?

EFILive docs indicate it can scan 1 PID at about 35Hz
and up to 36 PIDs at 1Hz frame rate with about a
y=36/x sort of profile. The gangwise PID logging
with dynamic packets appears to work out to 36
PIDs at 5Hz - with some notation that bus traffic
may cause data drops or slow-down. This from
the EFILive manual, pg 123.

97/98 LS1s only support the 5/sec logging rate modes and the dynamic mode. Dynamic mode is faster than the 5/sec mode when recording 24 or less PIDs.
I am sure that you can select more than 24 but the data would be “old”.
