Bent valves repair question
No, it's not me for a change. A friend bent intake & exhaust valves on cylinder #3. They are going to replace them, and then re-check the compression.
Don't the heads and/or intake need to be re-installed to check compression? Is there an easier way to see if thats the fix short of possibly having to pull the heads again?

yes, once you get the new valves, you can lap them real quick to check for contact area. then if that is good, install the spring and use a light weight oil or carb cleaner to spray in the runners to see if they are seating. i like you use throttle body cleaner which is real simular to carb cleaner. what every you do, dont use water. if there is no leakage, you can reinstall the heads and injoy the car again. if they do leak, it would be best to send it to a good machine shop to regrind the seat or valve to specs so they will seal again.
