hey guys, i ordered ls1edit v1.4 from carputing for my 2003 holden monaro..

when i recieved it, i installed the program, went through the user guide and connected the cable and everything was fine..

I went to ls1prog so i can read the PCM so i can get my flash file.. after that i went to 'connect' but it doesnt read.. it says communication error, whats the problem? the cable and everything else is fine!

You need to select which com port the cable is connected on and make sure the key is in "ON" position but not running. If you are using a usb-serial converter check all the settings. Some people have had problems with the various different models, try turning off hardware flow-control if its a usb adapter. The belkin units are hit or miss, the keyspan units more stable.

ya go to settings and select the right com port. Mines in com port 4.
