The Hot Rods Bracket Finals results.
Well, we got rained out on Saturday, so we all went to the casinos and had a great time.
On Sunday, we got the race under way. Wow! There was over 500 cars from 12 tracks racing this weekend. We only got 1 time trail. I ran a 7.18 @ 95 mph with a 1.54 60ft. The weather was not very good. My reaction time was killer .501. I was ready on the tree but had know idea what to dail. This was at 9:30am. At 3:30pm we finally line up for the 1st round. I split what I ran on Wed. at HRP and what I ran on the 1st time trail. I put a 7.10 on the window. I race a guy that was dailed in at 7.16. I cut a .519 light to his .586. On the top end I hit the brakes pretty hard and ran a 7.1001. Man, was I lucky not to brake out. But it was a win.
Next round I dailed in at 7.06. I ran a 7.07 with a .521 light covered the guy pretty easy. Got on the brakes again so I new the Hot Rod was going to run faster.
3rd round I got paired up with the defending event champion. I dail a 7.05 to his 7.48. I was pumped to race this guy. Well, this dude DRILLED me with a perfect light .500 and ran a perfect dail in 7.4800 on a 7.48. He ran a perfect race. I have never seen a guy run a perfect dail in and perfect reaction time.
I cut a .497 red light and ran a break out 7.02. It would not have mattered anyway because this guy just kicked my A**. Oh well, thats drag racing.
I had a great time and the 7.02 is a new best 1/8 mile but, I wish my luck was just a little different.
I have been banned this weekend from racing anywhere by my Pops and Madman. They don't want me to brake anything before the Thunder Shootout in 2 weekends. So, I will be chompping at the bit this week waiting on the Shootout. I hope to ya there. See in 2 weeks.
Coach
PS. You should see the Hot Rod with all the stickers on her. She looks like a true drag race only Hot Rod. I think that I will keep them on for the Shootout.

That's what I love about Coach. That positive upbeat attitude is very valuable in life and is critical to keeping a healthy mind.It reminds me of someone else I know That's a true sportsman right there. This is going to be a long two weeks for you boy.
Kristi- That's real good , just dangle that steak out in front of the tigers face.lol. Poor Coach is going to explode now.lol.
Take care
James

Re: The Hot Rods Bracket Finals results.
Steak? What steak?? Ohhhh... you mean the fact it pays $5000 to win on both Saturday and Sunday with only $100 weekend entry? And that it's footbrake only all weekend, with no super pro cars anywhere in sight?
You think his knowing that that's going on while he sits at home trying not to break anything will bother him??

I'm now awaiting the phone call from Coach BEGGING to go race this weekend. You ARE MEAN Kristi.
Well I'm glad Coach had a killer time this weekend. My Hot Rod had a serious case of PMS!!! She didnt want to run with the NOS. She and I fought all nite Fri. but she will be OK for Thunder.

Re: The Hot Rods Bracket Finals results.
sounds like you had alot of fun as always, how are you going to handle not racing for a weekend
Look foward to seeing you kick as at the shootout on the 2nd

There should be about 250 of the country's best footbrakers there. Not that I'm one of them, but I'm gonna go try my luck and see some of my out-of-state friends.
