I saw these things being used in Korea; those guys are brave!
The price is kinda high for a few bent bars of steel....
Did you guys see the low-level home lift that was featured here a few months ago; it was about the same price.

I am pretty sure the suspension components are NOT designed to handle that.

The unit passed all German safety standards and requires no maintenance. Only the battery needs to be removed, engine oil, transmission fluid, brake and washer fluid remain in the vehicle.

That thing is cool as hell!
I wouldn't follow their suggestion of leaving the oil and trans fluid in the car though. Oil will creap up into the cylinders and more than likely you'll leak trans fluid from the vents, especially on an A4.
In some ways, that might work better than a lift for some things. Sometimes working upside-down just sucks!

Yeah how the hell do the fluids stay in the car . . . . .
Could you imagine telling the insurance company, WTF happend to your car if it fell over . . . .
Interesting, but after you jack up both ends, remove two wheels and bolt these on, then roll it over (how do you do that?) sounds like more work than just using a set of jackstands or ramps. Not two mention storing them the rest of the time. Very creative solution, though.

You could probably fit 6 cars in a 2 car garage with those things :)

I can't think of any real applications where this would be useful.
Storage: it requires you have a 2-car width - one to park the car, the other to roll it over on its side.
Working underneath? What can you fix? Exhaust? no, gravity is pulling the wrong direction (sideways instead of down). Brakes? nope. Suspension? One side at a time, I guess, but it'd be easier just to jack the thing up. Can't really pull the tranny or motor with this. Can't do a gear swap. I suppose you could pull the driveshaft... LOL. But that's about it.
I give this product :thumbsdow :thumbsdow
I give owning my own 2-post lift :thumb: :thumb:

the only advantage that has over a lift is on welding or cutting the exhaust since the sparks won't fall on you that way. otherwise its worthless to you since you can't change oil or change trannies with it.

I don't like the idea of all my change in the cup holder falling all over the place! I laughed my ass off for 5 minutes at that stupid picture!!!!

Sure you can. Picture a forklift used to pull the engine haha.

Using an electric drill, engage the lifting screw and raise the vehicle incrementally, checking often for fluid leaks or any structural problems like tearing suspension mounts or signs of frame or subframe failure. -------------------------
----------------------------------
Sounds very safe to me. I'll bet German safety standards are very strict?

damn that thing looks scary, like camaroholic though almost anything that you would normall do on a lift could not be done cause of gravity, plus that just doesn't look right.

I saw these bastards being used in Korea; lots of shops use them becasue of the lack of space in Seol South Korea....
I laughed too when I first saw them; After I kept seeing them all over the city, I stopped laughing....
I assume you can work on exhausts, suspension, brakes (up side only), and engine stuff too (heads, headers, power steering, AC, etc.

Oh boy, nice try but ill stick with the good old pump jack and jack stands. Altough I guess it would be easier to undercoat the car...just hope it doesnt roll back over :violin:
