Default B&M 28,000 GVW or 24,000 GVW?

Is there any reason why I wouldn't choose the 28,000 GVW over the 24,000 GVW tranny cooler?

Seems only Jegs carries the 28,000, is there a reason for it?

go big or stay home. i had a 19k and it didnt do the job. driving conditions constantly change so i felt much safer with the 28k there. i would recommend the 28k hands down

I'm not sure you can "over buy" a tranny cooler. More cooling is better.

The 28K model (p/n: 70266) has 1/2 NPT threads on it and does not come with any mounting accessories, it is just a cooler for use with AN fittings. The 24K is the one most every one buys (that online vendors sell), it comes with the installation hardware for a universal fit. If you want to custom make the lines, go with the 28K. If you want something that will 'bolt-in' without requiring any parts, go with the 24K (model #70264).

That's what I wanted to know, thank you. Is there any reason not to go with the frame mount one?

The "frame rail" coolers look like a sweeter install
and you can unshroud the condenser / radiator,
but they have a much lower rating and surface area.
