I'm going to miss one night of sleep in there. I have to take a red eye from Los Angeles back to Detroit, then a short hop to Grand Rapids. Get home, grab the truck and head down. Can we postpone it a day so I can get some sleep? Man I hope I break nothing on Saturday doing some final runs. I won't be able to fix it in time. We just came in from the trailer, nothin but thrashin from here on out. We will finally get the damn car back in our hands tommorrow morning. Damn slowass chassis builders. Carpet tommorrow & then about 4 clay bars to get the paint back in shape. Again, damn chassis builders. But I have it easy, my dad, Lanky, Blane, Sean & Matt have all the real work to do. All I have to do is work, go to school & DRIVE <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> LOL

Stephen, get her shined up, me and matt will be down this weekend to help get the mechanicals all back in place. While you guys are at the track next wednesday in Houston, hopefully we will be T&T'ing mine at an 1/8 mile track here. So much for being prepared well in advance. I guess the last minute thrash is half the fun, although this chit is wearing me thin ....... Oh wait, I was already thin to begin with <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .

I hope to be T&T'ing mine as well. The trans is currently out of the car, and just in time, too. The builders said it's easy to see why it was slipping. I guess these 1/4-mile blasts aren't good for it after all. <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> I'll be swapping/replacing/repairing stuff up until I load the SS on the trailer to head out, so you're not alone on the last-minute wrenching!

I've been anticipating this event for this entire year, and here we are a little over a week away and my car is sitting without an engine under the hood. DOH!!!!

More likely than anything, my car's "test & tune" track runs will happen in Louisianna. So much for dialing in and tweaking, no time for that!

I know how you feel! This event is going to be test-N-tune for me.

Concerns for me...

TOTALLY new engine, new fuel system, new gears, new steering rack, wrong tranny (it'll be VERY lucky to make it through the event), WAAAAAAAAY wrong converter (I mean, it's not even close!), and NO practice time!

...But, I'll bring plenty of <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> to pass the time. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" /> Looking forward to seeing everyone and putting some more faces with names. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
