Default Anyone ever launched hard with SLP Bilstiens?

I know, don't rag on me for having it, but I race the car five days a year and I really like how the suspension drives on a daily basis. Totally stock, the car ran a 2.20 60' for a 13.8@102. I added relocation brackets, LCA's, and a PHR to the suspension as well as LGM SFC's welded in. I also moved up to a 6 pound powerdyne on an otherwise stock engine - it put out 391 at the wheels pig rich ( less than 10.0 a/f - tuning still in progress). I went back to the track just last week and layed down an embarrassing 2.5 60 ft (best out of three runs worst was a 2.6) with a time of 13.7@109.

I know the track prep was bad, but I should not have been that bad off the line. If I could make even a 2.0 I'd be in the twelves! Is there any hope for traction without tearing up the rest of the suspension (shocks and springs)? I have a BMR Torque Arm in the mail, but I am also thinking about an airbag(s)? Would this help?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

tires? what tires are you running on? no amount of suspension work will help out street tires trying to put 400+hp to the ground.

I should still be able to get a 2.0 with the stock Firehawks, though, shouldn't I?

Thanks for the reply.

My friend has a 00 Firehawk with the Bilstein suspension. He has been cutting low 1.6 60's this year on the bottle. The car "squats like a bitch" according to an eight year old spectator!

For now, I have to race Saturday and try to put down a respectable street tire 60 foot of 2.0 to 2.2. That will be enough to get me into the 12's, which is my only goal right now. Next year, with slicks, the goal will be the 11's. I just don't want another embarrassing 2.5 60 ft!

Just to let ya know....our shop car (95 Z) went a 1.36 or so 60' with bilsteins all the way around, and a Eibach prokit. Don't let people say a handling suspension can't launch
