It is hard to answer your question because it is not very specific. What are your goals for the car?

The heads will not work well with the TR 224 cam because stronger valve springs will be needed. If you upgrade the valve springs they should function properly.

Thanks for the reply.

I plan on getting the cam swap kit from thunder racing. It includes valve springs,pushrods, etc.
The only goals for my car are to run well, sound good and look good doing it.

I also plan to have my PCM tuned for this mod.

Default Stock 2002 LS6 heads worth using?

I have a set of stock 2002 ls6 heads and was wondering how these heads would perform on my 2000 SS with a TR 224 cam?

My mods include ls6 intake, yank 3600, 3:73 gears, SLP long tubes, and all free mods.

i would say they are better than the heads you have now, if you never plan on going bigger, then sure swap them.

if you want to go bigger, have the LS6 ported, then install.
