Default How much am i leaving on the table??

Just a stupid question...

Just got my ARE 382 all bore motor in

ARE stage 3 LS1 heads
242/250 612/619 114 +2
Kook's 1 7/8 LT's
True duals w/ X-pipe dumped before axle
6speed

The sucky thing, because I didn't make a decision fast enough, is that I still have the stock LS1 intake on it!!! GASP!!!

Couldn't decide if i wanted an LS6 or go with a FAST intake. And at that point couldn't decide between the 78mm or the 90mm, but I figured later might as well do the 90mm if i went that route. And this is untuned as well. Just tossed it up on the dyno to make sure it was safe to drive around since the tuner was out of town.

Any thoughts on what I would pick up with an LS6/ported TB or with the LSX 90mm/TB combo? perfectly tuned?

Thanks for the guesstimates. Still breaking in the clutch so can't get on it too much.

well, depending on your A/F ratio now you could stand to gain a lot. don't know what that is so it's hard to say. but if your car was tuned with the LS1 intake i would say on that motor a 90mm lsx would be worth probably 30rwhp or more. may gain more than that since you're not even tuned yet. that engine needs to rev and needs some air.

btw, what did it put down??

oops, thought i wrote it.

a/f is at about 12:1 through out the whole run. put down 430rwhp. my crappy lid and the ls1 intake are really choking it. car runs real good though, feels very strong.

i think, wether you get the intake or not, your car could benefit from tuning greatly.

i'd bet with a good intake system and tuning you could see some major gains

Talking

Get a TSP 85mm lid, ZO6 Maf, 90mm tb, and a 90mm lsx intake.

All those mods with tuning and you're probably looking at 475-485rwhp, maybe more.
