Head Milled....same gasket???
Hey guys,
I bought a 2001 Z06 with a 427 C5R setup from a guy about 6 months ago. It has since blown a head gasket and after getting it apart we discovered the cause was a .006 difference between the 3rd and 4th cylinder on the driver side, which is where the gasket blew.
I took the heads and had them milled to correct the problem. My question is this:
The car was running a Felpro 4.135 big bore gasket (1041 model) and I am not sure if I need a custom gasket to make up for the difference in milling or if my clearance will still be ok using this gasket. I tried to call the tuner that did the work but apparantly the company has gone out of business.
Advice please,
Thanks--Jason
